Activity Leadership Apprenticeship

Are you considering your next step? Passionate about Sports and Leisure? Wanting to achieve a NVQ Level 2 in Activity and Leadership? Wanting to work in the football industry? Wanting to work a minimum 30 hours a week?

If the answer to any of the above is yes then the 'Mitre Group - Activity Leadership Apprenticeship' could be for you.  

The Derby County in the Community Apprenticeship is a truely UNIQUE training programme. In partnership with The Mitre Group this training programme is designed to give youngsters a unique insight into the sports industry, and equip them with the necessary tools and knowledge to succeed.

Open to youngsters aged 16 - 18 years old this apprenticeship programme comes with a £78 per week salary and delivers the following industry qualifications:

Level 2 NVQ in Activity Leadership

*Level 2 Certificate in Increasing Participation in   Community Sport

*Level 2 Award in Employment Awareness

*Level 1 in Functional Skills (English and Maths)

There will also be the opportunity to access FA coaching qualifications and progress onto an Advanced Apprenticeship in Sports Development with DCitC and Mitre Group.

Your education will be completed by shadowing our lead coaching staff within school and soccer camp environments delivering coaching sessions to youngsters and delivering a much needed service to the the community.

By combining all of the qualifications listed above, we believe that we have created a unique training programme which will provide candidates with a far more rounded learning experience and potential CV. In addition the practical element provides a controlled environment in which to put any new knowledge into action, as well as a healthy and fun section to the training programme.
