U14 Aquathon - Funding raising event for the 2011 USA trip

An important update on the Aquathon. The Woodlands school pool has developed a leak in a pipe, so today it is closed. They are confident that it will be repaired by next Friday , but I’ll keep everyone posted.

Assuming we can go ahead on the 17th I’ll need some volunteers to help marshal the event; to check the girls actually complete 400 m in the pool, and 3 km running. Please let Allison Schooley know.

The address for Woodlands School is - Blenheim Drive, Allestree, Derby DE22 2LW. It is relatively easy to get to off the A38, at its junction with the A6 in north Derby – see attached map. I’ve also included a plan of the school. There is plenty of parking space. We should gather in the swimming pool entrance lobby no later than 6.45 pm, ideally 6.30 pm. Just to confirm, we have the pool from 7.00-8.00 pm, and the tennis courts from 7.30-9.00 pm.
