Derwent FC awarded FA Charter Standard Award

Derwent FC have received a huge boost this week when they were awarded the FA Charter Standard Award.

The Charter Standard Scheme is a best practice guide that sets standards of coaching, administration and child protection for all clubs outside the Football League and Premier League.  As a benchmark for quality, it will improve the playing experience for all and by achieving the award, the club can demonstrate to all members, parents and the public, that they are a well- organised, safe club offering opportunities for all.  The club now has FA qualified coaches working at every age group and is supported by a committee that includes a club welfare officer.

Derwent FC have been working towards this award for a number of years with support from the DCITC Hat-trick Project and the award is recognition of all of the hard work put in on and off the pitch by all managers, coaches, committee members, volunteers, players and parents.
