Curriculum Coaching

Curriculum coaching days are delivered throughout the academic year in schools within both Derby City and Derbyshire. The aim of these coaching days is to introduce children to football and in particular Derby County Football Club. Children undertake sessions during the school day that develop their skills, promote physical activity and healthy lifestyles.

Our coaches ensure in their sessions that all children are catered for and that sessions are differentiated to meet each child’s individual needs. Our team of coaches would normally deliver 3 sessions during the school day and cater for whole classes in their delivery. Schools can specify the focus of the delivery and can choose from football specific sessions or utilise the expertise of our coaches and incorporate multi-skill drills in the sessions.

We utilise our coaching programme to engage with those children who may not attend our main coaching programme in holidays, at the weekend and after school.

We work with local clubs and the County Football Association to signpost young players to local Charter Standard Clubs with elite players recruited into our Club Academy.
