Objectives for 2009/10

To ensure that children and young persons throughout Derbyshire can access high quality football provision, irrespective of age, gender, ability, ethnicity and social circumstance.

Through a diverse community programme, raise attainment and levels of physical literacy and activity throughout Derbyshire.

To deliver a programme of initiatives and activities that educate children and young persons to be healthy, stay safe, enjoy and achieve, make a positive contribution and achieve economic well being.

To create and identify employment opportunities for young adults, developing a volunteer workforce and creating role models to support the ongoing delivery programme of the scheme.

To use Derby County Football Club’s brand and resources throughout the county in a positive manner, forging closer links with the community, involving them in all aspects of the football club.

To create clear player pathways for all participants into appropriate clubs and organisations.

To identify and access new sources of income (funding), expanding existing provision and reacting to national and regional agendas.

Engage with key agencies locally, regionally and nationally, ensuring that the scheme is at the fore of all new initiatives.
